RoofCAD v. 5.1.18.1 Ready for Release

Why should I update?

First, RoofCAD 5.1.18.1 fixes a few small bugs reported by customers since the last RoofCAD update.

Most important, though, is this version of RoofCAD replaces Gateway as the easiest way to get future RoofCAD updates. From now on, the way to update RoofCAD will be from RoofCAD itself.

When an update is released, opening RoofCAD will give you a message telling you new stuff is available.

After that, onscreen prompts will guide you through the update process.

It’s easy and quick. And hopefully, this will be the last time you ever have to log in to our web site with your user name and serial number to download an update.

You’ll need to pay attention to three items to take advantage of this new update method.

Item #1: Your RoofCAD computer must be connected to the Internet. That’s how updates are delivered.

Item #2: RoofCAD 5 will not run on Windows 98. Sadly, some of you (you know who you are) are still living in the Dark Ages. You must have Windows XP or Vista. So get with it.

Item #3: The new update method only works if you have a USB security key. And the only way we’re delivering updates is over the Internet. That’s right…no CDs…no web site.

We’ve made the Parallel to USB key changeout process as painless as possible.

Return your Parallel key to us. Address information is at the bottom of this message. Don’t forget to include a check.
